I have not upgraded to Editor from Plugin, but I guess my question is still relevant, although I am unlikely to upgrade to Editor for $129. I sometimes get the feeling they optimize for the Mac but the PC version is just an afterthought.Īnyone else seen this sluggishness, and is there any improvement in this regard in Melodyne plugin 1.1's UI?ĮDIT: I just realized that "Melodyne Editor" and "Melodyne Plugin" are two different products, with Editor replacing Plugin. I have seen this in XP, Vista and Windows 7 64-bit on completely different hardware. No other program has similar sluggish UI issues. My computer is quite fast with a fast graphics card and all latest drivers, so I should not see this sluggishness. I would drag a blob, have to wait a second, then only release the mouse, and then sometimes it still registers the mouse move after I released the mouse button as a blob adjustment. At some point it gets so sluggish that dragging a blob would just become an excercise in frustration. You can even use vocal or other audio source as a MIDI input device (sing/hum a melody, etc., and convert to MIDI). I have always had issues with a sluggish Melodyne UI, especially the further it scrolls to the right.
